    Captain Dame Lüschen has been a member of the TRMN since 20 September 2011.

    • Dame Laura came in touch with the Honorverse quite early after the first novels were published in the late 1990's. She read the books up to "Flag in Exile" in German, her mother tongue. Not willing to wait for the translation of the follow-up story, which had already been published, but not yet translated to German, she picked up the original version and kept reading - unfortunately faster than David Weber could write. As an avid fan of Honor Harrington, her comrades and her adventures, Dame Laura was more than happy to join the official fan association.

    Within TRMN, Dame Laura quickly took on duties, first as Commanding Officer of the Continental European chapter GNS Leah (now GNS Glory), then later as Glory's Executive Officer. She also became responsible for translating the English exams provided by the Saganami Island Academy into German, to reach out to the German fandom in a more accessible language. Having shown her expertise, Dame Laura was soon selected to head the Remote Testing Institute, whose major task it is to provide exams in languages other than English to Honorverse Fans around the world.

    In real life, Dame Laura is happily married to her husband Mirko, who is gradually introduced to the Honorverse. She works as an electricity trader for a major European energy company. Her duties in this job are quite similar to that of a stock exchange or commodity trader, while her work hours are determined by a 24/7-shift system. Both Mirko’s and Laura’s job leave little free time, so they have no kids and currently no pets – although a new cat is in planning. The rare free time is spent going out for dinner or the movies, meeting friends and playing both computer-based and parlour games.
